DA, BA oder MA: Design and Implementation of a Next Generation Telecom IMS-based Service Enabler/Middleware for Federating Presence/Context Data -- in cooperation: CDTM, Georgia Institute of Technology, Deutsche Telekom Laboratories
10.12.2009, Abschlussarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten
Development of a concept for the federation, combination and extension of selected existing telecom, web, and communication (legacy) presence/context data. Designing and specifying an IMS-Presence-Enabler based on the presence/context concept. Implementing, testing and evaluating prototype of the IMS-Presence-Enabler.
- Existing presence/context data providing legacy systems need to be identified, their importance, popularity and impact needs to be evaluated and their interface capabilities need to be identified (e.g. Skype, ICQ, Twitter, Calendar, MSN, Jabber, ….)
- Based on defined evaluation criteria’s some presence/context legacy systems need to be selected as presence/context data sources for the IMS-Presence-Enabler.
- A presence/context data federation concept needs to be developed (including how combinations of presence/context sources can enhance the impact and knowledge that can be learned and inferred)
- Based on an existing open source presence enabler or by extending a free/commercial presence enabler, a software architecture design needs to map the federation concept to the IMS and IMS-Presence-Enabler.
- The previously designed Enabler needs to be implemented as a prototype.
- A demo application prototype that uses the most important features of the Enabler prototype needs to be implemented and be used for evaluation of the federation concept as well as the Enabler prototype implementation.
