MA: Self-Explanation of Robot Plans
15.05.2009, Diplomarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten
One characteristic of cognitive robots is their ability to explain what they are doing. The goal of this project is to use the existing plan structure of a robot to generate natural-language explanations about its behavior.
Project overview
We develop an autonomous household robot using a declarative plan language with the ability to learn. A robot program in this language is a hierarchy of plans, which is known during plan execution. This plan structure must be translated into an intermediate (logical) representation that can be transformed to natural language statements.
Task description
- Translation of the robot's task network into a logical representation
- Output of this representation as natural language (written and speech generation)
Prerequisites
- Experience in natural language processing or logic
- Lisp programming skills are a plus, but not required
